Dr. Saad Saad’s Medical Journey and Achievements

Dr. Saad Saad has had his share of growing up. He grew up in Kuwait but he was born in Palestine. He was born amongst seven other children. In their family, success is a norm. With a lawyer, a teacher, engineers, and PhDs, no one has fallen short of glory. Further to his success, he instilled the same drive in his four children. Dr. Saad Saad attended Cairo University and he was amongst the top of his class. He later left Egypt to attend his internship in England. Having completed his internship, he migrated to the United States to start his career. He has practiced in the U.S. for over 4 decades. He is a certified Pediatric surgeon with a passion for surgery and making people feel better.

Through the years, Dr. Saad has come up with different procedures and inventions that have helped in giving patients better healthcare services. He has been involved in various consultations on surgeries. Dr. Saad Saad has also performed various complex surgeries that involved kids and even teenagers. For the love of his job and the urge to feel people’s health better, he started medical missions where he performed various procedures on the children in Jerusalem who can’t afford to pay for their own medical care. These missions were in Jerusalem.

Before Dr. Saad Saad took his retirement leave, he worked at K Hovnanian Children Hospital as the Co-medical Director and Surgeon-in-Chief. His initial dream was not to be a surgeon but since he enjoys staying indoors. As a doctor, he had to look for a mentor and he found the perfect one for his line of work. Dr. H Biemann Othersen took up Dr. Saad Saad as a mentee and mentored him on the importance of being fair, exercise honesty to the patients he served and to treat all people in a manner that was kind. He taught him the importance of overlooking some things such as color, race, and status when associating with his patients.

Dr. Saad expresses his joy in the advancement in trends that were going to positively impact the lives of patients. A good example is the ability to use genetics to understand cancer and come up with ways of preventing chronic diseases. This same trend would be able to highlight how the same diseases can be treated. This will go a long way in reducing the mortality rate in the world as these diseases are killing a lot of people due to the lack of proper medical care. Dr. Saad believes the more research is conducted, the more solutions to existing problems can be found. He is a strong believer in the power of the moment and this is why he does not procrastinate things as he believes efficiency is achieved when things are acted upon as required.
